8 Activities That Are Perfect for Spring Date Nights

After months of movie nights in and bundling up to go to dinner with your partner, it is time to refresh date night, and with the weather warming up, spring date ideas are practically endless.

1. Visit a winery

Going to a winery is always a good idea, but they are especially enjoyable in the spring. Why not enjoy the fruits of the season with your partner, right? Head out to your local winery, try different seasonal wines, and enjoy a romantic evening together. Plus, this gives you a chance to wear a springtime outfit that gives off wine country vibes.

2. Pack a picnic

A picnic is a cliche spring date night idea, but for a good reason. It is one of the easiest, nicest, and most romantic things you can do with your partner. All you have to do is pack a bag with snacks (charcuterie boards are great for this since you won’t have to worry about silverware), drinks (wine, please!), music, a game, and a blanket. Find a nice place in a nearby park (or even in your backyard) and enjoy the simplicity that is a picnic.

3. Go to a baseball game

Baseball is back, and even if you don’t care to watch the game itself, going to a game is one of the best spring date ideas to plan with your partner. It’s easygoing yet full of energy, and there is actually a lot to do at a baseball game besides watching the game the entire time. You can walk around and see the stadium, pop into some of the shops, grab drinks and food, and, of course, catch a couple of innings.

4. Take a bike ride

Dust off your bikes and head out around town! Whether you decide to venture out onto a trail, take a casual evening stroll around your neighborhood, or bike to a local restaurant or brewery, going on a bike ride is a fun activity that you can do together. Plus, it’s a nice way to switch things up from all of the driving you did last season.

5. Play mini-golf

Is there anything more competitive and flirty than challenging your partner to a game of mini-golf? I don’t think so. This spring date night idea might be cliche and you might be surrounded by kiddos, but hey, it will be fun. Whoever loses buys ice cream! And if you two tie, a tie-breaker date has just planned itself.

6. Enjoy dinner on the patio

Ah, patio season. Don’t you love it? As soon as the temperature goes above 55, so many of us are eager to start dining outside again. With that said, make sure to make reservations if you plan to go out because it can get busy this time of year, but if you choose to eat at home and have the option to eat outside, we recommend breaking out your patio furniture and barbecuing together.

7. Meet for rooftop drinks

If meeting up for drinks is easier to fit in after work than dinner plans, choose a place that has a rooftop option. You and your partner can enjoy a springtime cocktail (or mocktail) with a great view and a nice, warm, spring breeze. If you can catch the sunset together from the rooftop, that’s even better.

8. Go on a garden walk

Whether you take a stroll through your neighborhood to see what your neighbors are planting or check out a local nursery, this is one of the best (if not the only) times that you will see gardens and flower beds as beautiful as they are in the spring—so head out with your partner to go see them. If you have a green thumb or if you are feeling bold, you can always start a garden together to enjoy all season long.
